Date of Birth: Kimmirut 1915
Date of Death: 1989
Kingmeata Etidlooie was a graphic artist and sculptor from Kimmirut. Settling in Cape Dorset in the mid-1960s, she joined the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative and went on to produce many striking visuals in prints, drawings and paintings.
As one of the first users of the Co-op’s painting studio, Etidlooie was regularly able to experiment with her medium, establishing her own unique style as a result.
